Glyn School has a long heritage of academic excellence, sporting prowess, artistic achievement and service within the community. It is an ‘outstanding’ school (Ofsted 2009 and 2012) and is among the top performing schools in the county. In 2012 and again in 2013, it was ranked as the fourth non-selective boys’ school in England for its GCSE performance on attainment. Furthermore, it has a thriving mixed Sixth Form which enriches the feel of the school.
All of our priorities focus on enhancing the quality of education we can provide to our students, ensuring they have the best possible academic, social, cultural and sporting experiences that will prepare them for the rest of their lives.
With public funding of state schools constantly under pressure, it is increasingly difficult to continue to deliver the rounded education that makes Glyn an outstanding school. Additionally, we are also a forward looking organisation keen to develop and innovate where we feel it will benefit our students. To sustain our current provision and realise our future ambitions and plans, it is necessary for us to raise funds in other ways.
In order to be able to fund these improvements to the school and its facilities, we are asking you to support us by contributing to our School Fund. We ask that each family contributes £90 per year, per student, or £30 each term, to help sustain the exceptional range of academic and extra-curricular opportunities that Glyn School offers.
We therefore request your support in raising funds for the following key areas of development:
- School Fund (click on the link to find out more)
- New Learning & Teaching Building (click on the link to find out more)
- Priest Hill (click here to find out more)
Glyn is an outstanding school on a journey to becoming exceptional and your support will enable us to achieve this goal sooner.
