A Level Results 2020

We are delighted to be able to congratulate the Class of 2020 for their many achievements and to wish them well as they move on to the next phase of their lives with our full support and best wishes. We are celebrating the hard work and achievements of our students here at Glyn School.  Whilst students’ studies and preparation for the exams were abruptly halted by the lockdown at the end of March and the cancellation of the A Level and BTEC exams for this summer, we want to celebrate their many achievements over the course of the years they have been with us.  These students did not get the chance to have the usual leavers' events, and it is important that they can move on to the next stage in their education with a sense of achievement and recognition. Today represents the end of one phase of each student's education, and the opportunity to recognise and celebrate what they have achieved.

Some stand out successes:

Francesca: Law: A*, Psychology: A, BTEC Business: Distinction. Frankie wasn’t always set on going to university but worked incredibly hard over her time at Glyn and has now achieved excellent grades. Frankie's resilience and determination to succeed is commendable. Frankie will be reading Law at University of Leeds.

Jack: Politcs: A, History: A*, Maths: A. Jack was our Head Boy and was able to simultaneously manage his workload for school and his responsibility in leading the student body through being Head Boy. He will be reading History at Durham University and will be an asset to their institution.

Daniel: Maths: A*, Further Maths: A*, Physics: A*. Daniel has worked incredibly hard throughout his time at Glyn and showed continued dedication and determination towards his studies. Daniel will be reading Mathematics at Robinson College at Cambridge

Charlotte: Economics: B, History: B, Law: A*. Charlotte was highly motivated and understood that she needed to work hard both in lessons and in her own time. She was focused, driven, and used her time effectively. She worked independently whilst in Private Study having removed herself from the distractions of friends she maintained a head down, can-do attitude at all times. Her work ethic was commendable. Charlotte will be reading Law at University of Exeter.
