Christmas Community Project 2019

Can You Help? Christmas Community Project 2019

Glyn School will be supporting the Epsom and Ewell Foodbank as part of our Community Fundraising this year. The Foodbank relies on the local community for food and household donations and we hope we can support them during the festive season.

The Foodbank aims to ensure that nobody in our local community has to go hungry, but they need help to make this happen. Any donations from us would help to make a real  difference. Last Christmas the Foodbank supported 600 people, and numbers this year have risen by 45%, so they are expecting this December to be even busier than last year.

The Epsom and Ewell Foodbank Christmas Appeal was launched during early November and they are collecting over a four week period.

As a school, we are focusing on collecting the following items:

· New gifts for young people aged 9 to 15 that are unwrapped. The gifts can be targeted to girls, boys, or unisex.

· New pillows, socks, flannels, towels, gloves, hot water bottles, insulated travel cups.

Form Tutors, Heads of House and Heads of Year will encourage students to support this worthwhile cause and we hope that you will support us with this initiative. Students can hand in donations at Student Reception, or to their Form  Tutors.

The deadline for donations is Monday 2 December.
