GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Assessment is used throughout the curriculum in order to provide appropriate feedback for students, staff and parents.

Key Stage 3

Year 7 students will receive a report in Term 1 on the following:

  • Attendance
  • Achievements Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • Four attitude to learning indicators
  • Reasons for Concern

Parents will receive a second and third report in Terms 2 and 3 on the following:

  • Attendance
  • Achievement Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • Five attitude to learning indicators
  • Progress indicator for English and Maths (Term 2)
  • Progress indicator for all subjects (Term 3 only)
  • Reading Normalised Referenced Standardised Score (NRSS) (Term 3 only)
  • Reasons for Concern

Year 8 students will receive a report in Term 1 on the following:

  • Attendance
  • Achievements Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • Four attitude to learning indicators
  • Reasons for Concern

Parents will receive a second and third report in Term 2 and 3 on the following:

  • Attendance
  • Achievement Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • Five attitude to learning indicators

Key Stage 4

Key Stage 4 students will receive three reports a year. 

Year 9

In Term 1 the report contains:

  • Attendance

  • Behaviour Points
  • Five attitude to learning indicators
  • Causes for concern if applicable

In Term 2 and 3 the report contains:

  • Attendance
  • Achievement Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • Latest Assessment score per subject
  • Assessment Average and Highest % scores for the cohort
  • Five attitude to learning indicators
  • Causes for concern if applicable

Years 10 and 11

In Term 1 the report contains:

  • Attendance
  • Achievement Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • Five attitude to learning indicators
  • Causes for concern if applicable

In Term 2 and 3 the report contains:

  • Attendance
  • Achievement Points
  • Behaviour Points
  • GCSE Target Grade
  • Latest Assessment score per subject
  • Assessment Average and Highest % scores for the cohort
  • PPE Grade, if taken
  • Five attitude to learning indicators
  • Causes for concern if applicable

Key Stage 5

Year 12 students will receive four reports throughout the year. The first report does not include grades.

Reports include:

  • Attendance
  • Target Grade
  • Latest Assessment score per subject
  • Assessment Average and Highest % scores for the cohort
  • Attainment, if applicable
  • PPE grades, if applicable 
  • Four attitudes to learning indicators 

Year 13 students will receive three reports throughout the year.

Reports include:

  • Attendance
  • Target Grade
  • Attainment 
  • Assessment Average and Highest % scores for the cohort
  • PPE grades, if applicable 
  • Four attitudes to learning indicators

A separate report containing the UCAS predicted grades will also be received at the start of Term 1.
