GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Accelerated Reader – Glyn School is Highly Commended

Accelerated Reader has yet again noted Glyn School as a “highly commended” school, and we have received some vouchers to put towards new books. 

Mrs Woolridge worked incredibly hard during the earlier lockdown period to send out ‘Check it Out!’ newsletters with book recommendations and activities to give students some respite from their studies. Since our return to school in September, Mrs Woolridge has continued to develop a love of learning through recommended reading lists, competitions and her general engagement and care in the students’ reading habits. 

Please find recommended reading lists on the Google Classrooms for all students in Years 7, 8 and 9 on Accelerated Reader.  

This week's recommended read for students in Year 9 and above has been nominated by Ms Wilson-David, who kindly reviewed it. The book is 'Slay' by Brittney Morris and it is displayed in the Library.
