Waiting Lists for Year 7 - 11 Students

Waiting list details for Year 7 entry September 2018 are available however the ranking usually changes within the first couple of weeks of March as declines and acceptances are received by the Local Authority.  We are able to give an indication of where your child is currently placed on the waiting list - requests should be sent to

Waiting lists are kept for all  Year 7 applicants and In Year applicants and are reviewed each April.  An email will be sent to Parents or Carers asking them to complete a short online form confirming they wish to stay on our waiting list. It is therefore imperative that you advise us of any changes of contact details.


Admissions to Year 7 at Glyn School for September 2018

Local Authority offer letters will have been sent to applicants who must reply directly to the Local Authority accepting or declining the place before the deadline stated in their letter.

In Year or Immediate Entry appeals

Appeals resulting from In Year admission applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.

 NB: Appeals will not start being heard until after the relevant closing date has passed.

Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.

Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.  Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing.

Appellants must ensure that any further evidence not included with their initial appeal, is received by 5pm on the day preceding three clear working days prior to the appeal hearing date.  Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.
