Highly Successful Lino Prints

Lino

In the Art department this week, Upper School students have been enjoying seeing the fruits of their labour come to life, as they have all produced highly successful lino prints. The process involves creating a design inspired by their projects looking at Natural Forms, working out how the design can tessellate*, safely carving the piece of lino, and then effectively running off prints in a range of colourways. The outcomes are terrific. Well done to all students involved.

Miss Gascoigne, Head of Creative & Performing Arts and Technology

Editor - *tesselate means to decorate or cover (a surface) with a pattern of repeated shapes, especially polygons, that fit together closely without gaps or overlapping. We’ve all learned something there, thanks to Miss Gascoigne!
