GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Christmas Community Project 2021 - Epsom & Ewell Foodbank

It is truly heartwarming to see the response we had to our Christmas Community Project 2021, in support of Epsom & Ewell Foodbank. The Foodbank relies entirely on donations, aiming to ensure that nobody goes hungry. The number of people seeking help from Epsom & Ewell Foodbank is even higher now than in 2020, so your support is much needed and appreciated.

Many of you have made a monetary donation to Epsom & Ewell Foodbank via their TEXT appeal. If you would still like to do this, please text CHRISTMASGIFT followed by your chosen amount of £1 to £20 to 70450.

Epsom & Ewell Foodbank informed us of the items that they particularly needed this year and, over the past three weeks,  you have been sending in Christmas puddings, stuffing, tea towels and socks. I am delighted to let you know that, as a community, we collected the following items which I delivered to the Foodbank on Wednesday:

161 pairs of socks, 76 tea towels, 76 packets of stuffing, 56 Christmas puddings, 8 tins of food, 6 boxes of mince pies, 5 Christmas cakes, 3 boxes of chocolates, 2 packets of Christmas tortillas, 2 jars of cranberry sauce, 1 packet of biscuits and 1 bottle of shower gel.

Thank you to the Glyn community for such an amazing response to this community appeal.
