PSA & Fundraising
Many companies offer their employees the chance to take part in a matched funding scheme. The company will provide additional funding to a good cause (usually on a £ for £ basis up to a maximum amount). Generally the employee must have been involved in the fundraising event as a volunteer.
For example, a parent, who works for a company that offers matched giving, volunteers to work on the refreshment stall at the PSA fayre. The profit made by the stall is £250. The parent’s employer will then match this amount with a further £250 (assuming they offer a £ for £ match). The amount offered will vary depending on the organisation and conditions may apply. The PSA is a registered Charity. If we were able to double some of our fundraising it would really make a difference.
Throughout the year we sell refreshments at various events, school discos, Christmas Fayre & Priest Hill. W also have the disco ticket sales and various stalls at Christmas.
If you require further information or work for a company that offers matched giving, please get in touch GlynPSA@Outlook.com.

The PSA are very lucky to have been donated vouchers for RoadCraft Off-Road Driver Training held at Mole Business Park in Leatherhead on Sundays. This provides a course of junctions and road layout in a safe environment.
These vouchers give 16 year olds the opportunity to start their driving practice before their 17th birthday. Training starts approximately a month before their 17th birthday. They don't even need to hold their provisional licence. The vouchers are only £59 and provide 3 hours off-road training.
RoadCraft has been established for over 15 years, helping to qualify over 50 instructors and 1,000's of students with an ethos of teaching to a higher standard and safe driving for life, not just to pass the test.
Their unique off-road course teaches pupils to handle the car confidently and to be prepared to start a safe and complete driving experience. Having the off-road course considerably reduces the number of hours needed for on-road lessons.
If you enrol with Roadcraft you will receive an additional free on-road lesson when the student is 17.
They also have both male and female instructors. Other driving schools are charging £40 per hour for this off-road driving. These vouchers make ideal presents and they are now available to any friends or family, as well as Glyn students. Please email GlynPSA@Outlook.com for more information.
WIN!! That is what can happen when you join the GLYN PSA 200 CLUB. Every £1 you give goes towards both prizes (18 prizes per term, top prize can exceed £200) and purchases used for the benefit the students at Glyn School.
Over the years that the 200 club has been in existence, more than £70,000 has been raised to purchase items for every area of school life.
To participate you just buy one or more numbers in the monthly draw, at £12 per number per year, there is no limit to the number of entries you can purchase. (Also the draw is open to anyone over the age of 16 and so please encourage friends and relatives to join).
Ideally, payment is annually by standing order or you may pay by cheque, £12 per number annually, payable to Glyn School PSA 200 club.
The form is available in the downloads at the bottom of this page, alternatively email the PSA GlynPSA@Outlook.com for a form or further information.
We have raised over £680 so far with Easy fundraising and that's only with 116 registered supporters. Thank you! Easy fundraising works in a similar way too many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop you raise a donation for Glyn instead. It's as simple as that! http:I/www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/glynpsa
Please register and help us raise more money by just doing your usual shopping.
If you shop online the PSA will get a percentage of everything you buy at no cost to you at all, as long as when you register you choose to help the 'Glyn School PSA' to raise funds. There are thousands of retailers who take part including Expedia, Thomas Cook, Lastminute.com, Amazon, Asda, Argos and Tesco. The donation money is then paid directly into our bank.
eBay for Charity is an easy way for buyers and sellers on eBay.co.uk to support their favourite charities including Glyn SchoolPSA. Buyers can shop for items knowing they're supporting a good cause. Sellers, whether they're individuals or businesses, can donate a percentage from any sale to Glyn and add Gift Aid to their donations. In addition, all eBay for Charity items will qualify for a fee credit on basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage donated.
It is really easy to use, when listing an item go via 'Advanced Sell' on the eBay home page; the charity box is just below where you set your price. Just choose Glyn School PSA and the percentage you want to donate. 3 weeks after your item sells PayPal will collect the donation from you.
If you would like further information please email the PSA at GlynPSA@Outlook.com
We are asking for money you will not miss.
You can help without really having to put your hand in your pocket by simply sorting out any old foreign notes and coins left over from holidays and business trips.
Any old British or Irish coins and notes can also help. Even old decimal coins or farthings, 1d pennies, three pence, six pence, shillings and crowns are welcome.
So seek out those old Spanish Pesetas, American Dollars, and German Marks etc., literally anything, even obsolete currency can help. Foreign coins and small banknotes cannot be exchanged at any British bank or Bureau de Change.
So please take a moment to donate these coins and banknotes and Cash4Coins will buy it all and turn it into a useful donation for Glyn.
Please return your donations to Student Reception.
Every year the PSA purchase items for the school such as author visits, software and specialist days. This year we are looking for some local companies to sponsor some of these events. Funds that the PSA have raised can then be used to purchase additionalitems. Do you work for a company that would be willing to help? We have never contacted local business before and are looking to forge some ongoing relationships. We have a couple of companies that have already shown an interest, but we need your help.
Please email the PSA if you think you may be able to help. We can forward a list of items the PSA has purchased for the school over the last few years to give you an idea of values. We will also publish all sponsorships within our newsletters and communications regularly to all parents. GlynPSA@Outlook.com
