GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Goodbye to Year 13 Students!

We were very sad to see our Year 13 students leave us yesterday, following their Leavers’ Assembly and BBQ. The assembly was a brilliant way to celebrate all that the students have achieved, and a poignant time to reflect on their experience within the Sixth Form. Staff were able to offer advice for the future; how to succeed, as students move on to their next steps. Our Head Boy, Nathan, had been filming a funny staff video over the last few weeks that was played during the assembly - a rendition of Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. It was a fitting tribute to celebrate with our students and show them our thanks for all the memories they have created with us. A special thank you to Nathan, Mr Cooke and the Sixth Form Vocal Group for their time and effort in creating the video.

We wish our outgoing students the very best for the future and we do hope they will keep in touch.
