GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

New Art Displays

New Art Displays - Thank You to the Glyn PSA

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Glyn PSA for providing funding for a large quantity of high quality frames and boards to display students’ artwork.

I believe that all students should have the opportunity to have their work displayed as professionally as possible. The impact that these new frames has made will encourage students to develop and perform to the best of their ability. The new frames have created high-end wall displays and has, for the first time, enabled the Art department to be able to change the displays every half term, allowing us to show more students’ work. Glyn PSA funding has also enabled our GCSE and Sixth Form students to display their work on white boards, creating a museum or art gallery feel, which will bode well when their work is moderated by the examination board later in the academic year.

I believe that art is for everyone, of all abilities, and not just for those students who have chosen to take Art at GCSE or A Level. Art enriches students’ lives educationally and culturally. These new displays not only improve the school environment, but will also help to encourage students to create great work. Thank you to the Glyn PSA and to our families who support their fundraising; these extra resources allow us to enhance students’ learning experiences.
