Private/External Candidates

A Private Candidate, sometimes referred to as External Candidate, is a student not enroled at Glyn School.  They may be a former Glyn student who is re-taking a public exam, or a student who is not enroled at any school, whether due to home-schooling or remote learning, or because their centre is not approved to host exams.

Glyn School will consider requests from Private Candidates to sit public exams in subjects with the same exam board that we teach.  Please follow this LINK for details on what examinations and exam board we offer along with the examination entry fee.

Before making any applications, please ensure you read through our Private Candidate Policy 2024-2025.

Please contact the Exams Office via email exams@glynschool.org to request an Examination Request Form. The deadline for Summer entries is Wednesday 29 January 2025.

Student Examination Documents

Please find below a link to our Examination Documents.  All students who are taking External Examinations MUST read these documents prior to the Examinations. Please be aware we follow the same procedures for our Internal Pre-Public Examinations (PPE).
