GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Please be aware, there is a contingency date in place nationally in the event of a national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom.  The contingency plan/date is designed to ensure a consistent and effective response to any major disruption to the examination system. Examples of disruptions could include severe weather, widespread illness, travel disruption or system failures. All pupils must ensure they are available for these dates:

  • Wednesday 24 June 2026 (Examination contingency day)

Private/External Candidates

A Private Candidate, sometimes referred to as External Candidate, is a student not enrolled at Glyn School.  They may be a former Glyn student who is re-taking a public exam, or a student who is not enrolled at any school, whether due to home-schooling or remote learning, or because their centre is not approved to host exams.

Glyn School will consider requests from Private Candidates to sit public exams in subjects with the same exam board that we teach.  Please follow this LINK for details on what examinations and exam board we offer to External Candidates along with the examination entry fee.

Exam Policies and Documents 

Collecting Exam Certificates for Summer 2025

Exam certificates for Summer 2025 will be released to schools by the exam boards in late November 2025. 

Certificates for students attending Glyn Sixth Form will be given out during Form Time. 

For school leavers, the main certificate collection days are:

  • Wednesday 17 December 2025 between 10.00am and 12.00pm located in the Main Reception
  • Monday 5 January 2026 between 10.00am and 12.00pm located in the Main Reception
  • Following these dates, Certificates will be available to collect from Main reception (open between 8am and 4pm term time only)

If you are unable to collect your certificate in person, you can nominate someone to collect on your behalf. Permission will need to be emailed by the student to exams@glynschool.org. The nominee will need to bring photo ID on collection.

The school is obliged to retain certificates for a year, so it is important that you collect these.

It is not possible to post Exam Certificates.  Exam certificates must be collected from the school in person.  Before coming to school to collect certificates, please email exams@glynschool.org so that we can have them ready in Main Reception for you to collect.

Collection of Summer Exam Results 2025

Glyn students completing a full GCSE or A Level qualification this summer are invited to collect their individual Candidate Results Statement on the following dates and during the times shown:

Students who are unable to collect results

If any student is unable to collect their results in person, they may nominate a friend or relative to do so on their behalf at the times above. To nominate, the student will need to email exams@glynschool.org clarifying the name of the person collecting on their behalf and permission to do so. The nominee collecting the results, must bring a form of identification with them.

Please be aware, that if any student is unable to collect their results in person and have not nominated anyone to collect their results, the results will be emailed to the student’s Glyn school email at the end of the results day.
