GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Young Journalist Achievement for Jackson 8A

“Young Journalists get their chance to shine as Gazprom Football for Friendship gives them the opportunity to cover Euro 2020” - FourFourTwo

This was the headline to congratulate the 12 to 14 year olds who took part in a Young Journalists’ experience over the summer, covering the Gazprom Football for Friendship tournament, and I am extremely proud of Jackson 8A who not only took part, but shone. This was an international competition and Jackson was announced as the winner for England. What a fantastic achievement!  

Jackson enjoyed being able to keep a close eye on Gareth Southgate’s side and writing about them as they progressed through the tournament, as well as conducting interviews.

I feel certain that we have not heard the last of Jackson’s journalistic skills!
