GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Bunsen Burner Licences for Students in Years 7 and 8

There have been exciting times in the Science labs this September.  Since the start of term, students in Years 7 and 8 have been developing their analytical and practical Science skills during their Science lessons.  As part of these lessons, students were given training in how to safely light and use a Bunsen Burner.  After passing the training and demonstrating that they can be safe in the lab, students were awarded with their Bunsen Burner Licence. This entitles them to use a Bunsen Burner independently during lessons; they should be very proud of themselves. Congratulations to those students.
