GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Basketball League Winners!

On Wednesday 20 April, in the last game of the Surrey Sixth Form College League, Glyn’s U19 Basketball team hosted Woking College. The Glyn U19 team aimed to continue their unbeaten record by winning this last game, and so they did!  A fantastic performance by the Glyn team was a joy to watch; their ball skills and team play were second to none. The final score was 116 to Glyn and 28 to Woking. A magnificent 50 of  Glyn points were scored by a very pleased Team Captain, Alex 13A.

Thank you once again to Mr Macgregor for refereeing the game.

Top Scorer and MOTM was Alex 13A.

Team: Alex 13A, Toby 13D, Tom 13SB, Isaiah 13D, Charlie 13O2, Tom 13B, Alister 13O2 and Sam 11B.

I’m sure the Glyn community will join me in congratulating the team on winning the League in their first  season - well-done!
