GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Matthew has raised £500 for 'The Little Princess Trust'

Matthew (7C) has been growing his hair for just over two and a half years, and on Friday 1 December 2023 he decided it was time to finally donate it to The Little Princess Trust. The charity creates real hair wigs for children receiving chemotherapy treatment.

Each wig costs around £700 to make and Matthew started a fundraising page on Friday evening. He has literally reached his £500 target today and his ponytail measured just over 12 inches. That's bigger than a footlong subway!

The support he has received since his transformation has been incredible and he has finally been able to ditch all the hair bands.
