HUMANUTOPIA YEAR 8 DAY
HUMANUTOPIA YEAR 8 DAY
On Thursday 18 April we had the company ‘Humanutopia’ in to do a days workshop with Year 8, led by Sacha, all of Year 8 took part in the first two hours of the day before splitting into small groups for the rest of the day. The students were asked to think about their ambitions in the future, to think about how they can make themselves a better person and ultimately to go away with ambitions to how to make their time in Year 8 happier and better for themselves and their classmate. I was overwhelmed at the positive approach they had through the day with some very challenging questions and tasks asked of them. I would like to give a special mention to the following, who were all very brave in some of their revelations of personal stories as well as taking a risk outside of their comfort zone. Roma, Ronnie, Aleks, Asim (All in Abbey) and Yash and Freddie (Both Oaks). There were dozens of others who made the day a success but cannot unfortunately get them all into this article.
