GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The Old Glynians' Association

The Old Glynians’ Association (TOGA)

Many former students of the school are members of TOGA; all former students and staff are warmly invited to join the Association.  Members of TOGA keep in touch throughout the year and, aside from the current restrictions preventing them being together, they meet once a year in The Proctor Hall at school for their Annual Reunion Dinner, which is a very special event on the school calendar.

A large cohort of TOGA, who affectionately refer to themselves as Old Boys, were on roll here during the Second World War; their stories of being on ‘Fire Watch’ and ‘Air Raid Drill’ as Prefects are fascinating.  Sadly, we occasionally hear news that an Old Boy has passed away and their peers write some wonderful tributes. TOGA has a page on the school website, which is full of very interesting history and stories about the school. There is also a separate page which is dedicated to obituaries. Please follow these links if you would like to read more:

We are extremely fortunate to have such a long history (the school was established in 1927) and we are delighted that former students join TOGA and remain lifelong followers of the school.
