GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Key Stage 3 Virtual Science Club

Key Stage 3 Virtual Science Club

Astronomy

Over the half term break, the Key Stage 3 Virtual Science Club members tried their hand at Astronomy.  Josh 7M tells us, “I could see seven stars in the Orion constellation.” While Dillan 7D saw Orion (hunter), Canis Major (alpha dog), and Lepus (rabbit), and commented, “That was my first time seeing the constellations.”  

Farmvention - Samson is a Climate Super Hero!

Meanwhile, Samson 8A kept his feet on the ground and looked at creating an invention, innovation or idea to help British farmers continue to care for the environment, and became a Climate Super Hero!  Samson’s idea involved creating seeds that are covered in pesticides and other elements that will help it grow.
