Key Stage 3 Scientists Help with Annual Bird Count

Key Stage 3 Scientists Help with Annual Bird Count

The Key Stage 3 Virtual Science Club is supporting the RSPB (The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) Big Garden Birdwatch, which takes place between 29 to 31 January. Volunteers are asked to pick just one hour between those dates and record which birds they see in their garden during that time, before sending their findings to the RSPB.  Every count is important to the task, including not seeing a single bird in that hour.  Finding out which birds visit a certain area is just as important as finding out which birds do not.
