GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

GB World Class Programme for James Miller

Great Britain World Class Programme for Former Student, James Miller

It is always wonderful to hear good news about former Glyn School students and I was therefore thrilled to hear that James Miller has been selected for the Great Britain World Class Programme as the British Number 1!

James is the youngest ever Pistol Shooter to gain this selection and he is now focused on the 2020 and 2024 Olympics programme.

Additionally, in his role as British Shooting Junior Ambassador, James has recently featured in Air Gun Magazine in an article aimed at supporting and motivating the future generation.

I am grateful to have received this wonderful news from James’ family who say, “Being in the CCF and having the support of the school certainly enhanced James’ attitude of dedication, commitment, training and positive attitude.”

We wish James every success as he prepares for the 2020 and 2024 Olympics.
