Project Planet Earth -Â Year 8 Art
In Year 8 Art & Design lessons, students have been learning about the ways in which making art can link to the real world around them as part of their Project Planet Earth series of lessons. Linking to COP26 has allowed for some fantastic discussions about the world beyond the classroom, whilst practical time in class has been spent dreaming up snappy slogans and collecting found objects to use on their mixed media placards. In a few weeks’ time, students will take these cardboard placards on a Climate Change protest around the Art department…and maybe even the wider school! Watch out!
