GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Times Tables Rock Stars Challenge Results

I have just run another three-week TTRS competition and, once again, students have been full of excitement about how they were doing. However, this time, the competition had a new twist. Alongside Mrs Brown from GLF, we managed to run the competition across five GLF secondary schools!   

I’m very proud to let you know that our Glyn School students did themselves and the school proud,  getting more times tables correct than any other school; they also got more answers correct than the other four schools combined!

A massive congratulations to 7 Merton who won the competition by a good distance in the end. They took a good lead right from the outset, ensuring they could not get caught!  The final scores for the top 10 Forms are as follows: 

Special mention goes to the top five students who really committed themselves to the competition: Michael 8B, Terry 7M, Dylan 7M, Harry 8D, and Ike 9B all got more than 50,000 answers correct each!

Thank you to all the students who took part, and to the Parents and Carers who encouraged them.  Thank you to the Maths teachers and Form Tutors who allowed students to use TTRS when they could. It couldn’t have happened without you all.
