Official Opening of Priest Hill 3G Astro Pitch
Yesterday marked the official opening of our state-of-the-art 3G astro pitch at Priest Hill, a proud moment for Glyn School and grassroots football across the borough.
Representatives from Glyn School, Epsom & Ewell Borough Council, the GLF Foundation, Epsom & Ewell Colts, and Surrey FA gathered in the sunshine to watch the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell cut the ceremonial ribbon.
The project—six years in the making—has been made possible through funding and support from Glyn School, the GLF Foundation, Surrey County Council, and The Football Association, in partnership with Epsom & Ewell Colts.
The new all-weather 3G facility will enable football teams to train and compete throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions. Its high-quality, durable surface ensures consistent access to top-class playing conditions for both training and competitive fixtures.
The pitch will enhance accessibility & promote inclusivity for grassroots football, providing a safe space for the community to come together.
Thanks to everyone involved — we can’t wait for many years of exciting football ahead.
The next step, as part of Glyn’s centenary celebrations in 2027, is the refurbishment of the Priest Hill Pavilion. Watch this space for updates.
