The Student Leadership Team consists of our Student Heads of School and Deputies. Their role is very diverse and includes the leadership of the Senior Prefect and Prefect teams.

It is an honour to represent Glyn School as Head Boy . I am privileged to be supported by a school that has been such a huge part of my life so far and has provided me opportunities I would have never dreamed of reaching, whilst also ensuring that I receive the best education alongside a healthy positive working environment.
I joined Glyn in 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, and although different to a usual transition, the teachers and staff still created an environment that welcomed us all and created a sense of unity and togetherness . Although restrictions were tight, we still formed friendships that will last a lifetime and created unique memories different to any other year. From my first lessons at Glyn, it was obvious I had made the right choice; Glyn is a safe space for students to overcome challenges and build on their education. Not only in the classroom but on the sports field, in the music room, on stage or even on the playground at lunch. There is so much on offer at Glyn that there is always an area for students to excel in.
From the start, it was clear: Glyn is built on its values and ethos, and through this, students are pushed to strive and achieve greatness, and true to our motto , tenax propositi ulteriora peto, we are pushed to seek nothing but the best . Mistakes aren’t viewed as failures but instead as an opportunity to further grow our understanding and expand our knowledge.The support students receive at Glyn from staff is a testament to its values; there isn’t a member of staff who won’t go above and beyond for a student, whether it’s running extra-curricular support sessions or even giving up their lunch just for a talk .
This is why, as Head Boy, I want to give back to the school that’s given me so much over the years. Alongside the senior leadership and prefect team, I aim to tackle problems faced by teenagers whilst also creating fun and engaging events and fundraisers throughout the year. I will endeavour to build on our already strong community and to bring focus on all aspects of life at Glyn, whether it’s sports, academics, or arts; the list is endless. Whilst preserving Glyn’s rich history and impact on the local community, I seek to bring change for good and new initiatives which will enrich our school as we head into our centenary year.
